Labor Day weekend is coming up, so naturally we thought about barbecue and homemade ice cream.

Good thing we have this Meadows Home and Garden Cookbook from 1993 (we think that is the year). Of course, we found the recipe we needed. This book is full of great food!

Break out your ice cream machine and give it a shot. We are always willing to be taste testers if you need us! 🍦😋

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Get together with your neighbors and plan a small gathering, anything from snacks in the driveway to a all out BBQ.
2️⃣ Register your party with Meadows Place PD so we know where to stop by.
3️⃣ That evening, MPPD officers and city officials will visit registered parties to say hello and thank you.
4️⃣ That’s it! A simple night of connection that helps make Meadows Place stronger.

Graphic promoting National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. and encouraging Meadows Place residents to register their neighborhood party by phone or email.

We are excited to announce some upcoming changes to how residents connect with Meadows Place!

We are getting:

🌐 A new website
📱 A new official Meadows Place app
📣 A new emergency notification system
🏛️ A new .gov website and email address: 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐱.𝐠𝐨𝐯

We are targeting 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟑𝟏 for the launch of these new tools.
And here's more good news: there is very little residents need to do to make the transition.

Our current website address will redirect you to the new site, and emails sent to our current City email addresses will continue to reach us.

If you had already signed up for our old emergency notification system, CodeRED, you're all set. Your information has been transferred to our new system. 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟎, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦.

Once we launch, there's one thing we hope you'll do:
📲 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩! 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐎𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝.

Our new website will also make it easier for more residents to access City information, including 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.

We'll be sharing more as we get closer to our target launch date, including how to sign up for emergency notifications and information about a test of the new system.

Have questions or feedback about the new platforms? Reach out to us at communications@cityofmeadowsplace.org.
After the transition, you can also find us at communications@meadowsplacetx.gov.

Today, our Parks and Recreation crew battled the heat while installing the baskets for the future 6-hole disc golf course at McGrath Park.

We had to make sure every basket met the standards of our course designer and Recreation Coordinator, Will Bolin. 😉

The plan is to have everything ready very soon. The team still needs to install a few more baskets, the tee box signs, and make sure the course is properly marked.

Stay tuned for more updates!
