Assault (1) (Same as previous month)

12/21/23 Brighton Ln.

  • Dating relationship disturbance that escalated from verbal to pushing.

  • Also, a door inside the house was damaged during this.

  • The suspect was not on location when the officers arrived.

  • Victim does not want prosecution on the assault but does on the door.

  • Investigation status: Open

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (0) (Same as previous month) (0 commercial – 0 residential)
Burglary – Business/Commercial (3) (Up 3 from previous month) 

12/27/23 Cabo Bob’s

  • Unknown persons damaged a rear door, entered, and attempted to take the safe. They were unsuccessful, and nothing was taken.

  • The surveillance video showed two individuals, but nothing was identifiable.

  • Surveillance video from Northern Tool showed their vehicle, but nothing identifiable.

  • No forensic evidence was found.

  • Investigation status: Suspended

01/19/24 Former Vroom/Texas Direct

  • An open door was found to the unoccupied building.

  • The building owners stated there appeared to be an electrical panel, and two compressors were missing.

  • However, the owners further stated the previous tenant, Vroom/TX Direct, may have come in and removed this past the deadline for them to do so.

  • No evidence was recovered.

  • Property value: Unknown at time of report

  • Investigation status: Open

 01/08/24 Jiffy Lube

  • Patrol responded to a business alarm and found forced entry via a window.

  • Inside, the safe was pried open, and money was missing.

  • The store’s surveillance video showed three subjects, all of which were unidentifiable.

  • MPPD is working with Jiffy Lube loss prevention, as there have been numerous such burglaries to this business chain in the recent past.

  • Value of damage: $7,600

  • Value of stolen money: $200

  • Investigation status: Open

Burglary – Residential (1) (Up 1 from previous month)

12/26/23 Dorrance Ln.

  • Resident was upstairs and heard a noise downstairs, so went to investigate.

  • Resident saw a male running out the back door.

  • The description was vague, and no vehicle was seen.

  • There was no forced entry found, and nothing was missing.

  • Follow-up will occur on possible video from home across the street.

  • Investigation status: Open

12/21/23 Hoggard Dr.

  • Resident received a past due notice for a cell phone account he never had.

  • Amount: $2,100

  • Investigation status: Open

12/25/23 Walgreens *Arrest

  • Units were dispatched to a Theft in progress.

  • Officer found and detained the suspect as he arrived.

  • The merchandise (detergent) was recovered.

  • Property value: $85.45

  • The suspect also had a confirmed warrant out of Harris County for Theft.

  • The suspect was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

12/30/23 Jiffy Lube *Service (Oil Change)

  • A customer had oil change completed, then when left alone, he left without paying.

  • The suspect and vehicle have been identified.

  • Service value: $99.99

  • Investigation stats: Open

 01/01/24 Walgreens *Beer

  • A male and female subjects entered the store, retrieved 4 cases of beer, and then ran out of the store without paying.

  • The store’s surveillance video showed no identifying information.

  • Property value: $99.96

  • Investigation status: Suspended

01/02/24 Murphy Express *Cigarettes

  • A male walked behind the counter and removed numerous packs of cigarettes, placed them in a bag he had brought, then left without paying.

  • As this occurred, the store’s clerk suffered a panic attack, and she was later treated by EMS and cleared.

  • The store’s surveillance video showed no identifying information.

  • Property value: $1,488.69

  • Investigation status: Suspended

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a FLOCK hit – a stolen vehicle out of another agency.

  • The vehicle was confirmed stolen.

  • The driver was found to have a substance in his possession which tested positive for methamphetamines.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

01/21/24 W. Airport Blvd.*Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle Other Jurisdiction (also listed in Arrests below)

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a FLOCK Hit on a stolen vehicle.

  • The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Houston PD, regarding a Murder/Suicide and Burglary.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a red-light violation.

  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant our of Fort Bend County for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.
