• A resident found that overnight someone broke the door handle on her vehicle (which was parked on the street) and removed several items.

• The resident across the street has a camera and is checking it to see if it captured anything. No forensic evidence was found.

11/16/24 Cedar Form Ln.

• A resident reported that someone broke out a window of his truck while parked at his residence and removed an air compressor.

• There was no witness, forensics or video found.

• An employee found someone had slashed 2 tires of her vehicle while at work.

• While taking the above report (0102), the business owner reported damage to her vehicle’s windshield and a window of the business. These appear to be from a rock being thrown.

• A person of interest, recently fired employee who made threats.

• A surveillance video from business next door is being retrieved.

11/12/24 Walgreens

• The victim from Case above parked her vehicle at Walgreens while at work, and when returned to it found that someone slashed 2 tires (again).

• A person of interest is a recently fired employee who made threats.

• No witness, surveillance video or forensics evidence was found.

11/17/24 Starbucks

• An Officer noticed a vehicle at Starbucks parked incorrectly, which drove away as he approached.

• Investigation showed that the occupants had been in the process of stealing copper wire after they had damaged the PVC conduit which contained it.

• CID responded to the scene and recovered evidence for future testing.

• Possible videos in the area will be checked.

• Two males entered the store and picked up two saddles and acted as if they were going to purchase them.

• The suspects then left without purchasing them and told the employees they had a gun.

• The surveillance video was retrieved, and the employees stated they could identify the people if seen again.

• CID responded to the scene.

• Suspect has been identified.

• A male subject approached the checkout counter with items to purchase, and then produced a handgun and demanded the money from the register. The clerk complied.

• The male then left the scene in an unknown direction. No vehicle was seen.

• An employee recognized the suspect from a previous contact.

• No forensic evidence was retrieved. Area surveillance video is being sought.

• CID responded to the scene.

• A citizen reported that they never received several electronic devices at their P.O. box.

• The citizen did provide several serial numbers.

10/29/24 Northern Tool *Tools

• A male subject walked out the store with some hand tools without paying.

• Soon after, a different male walked out the store with an air compressor without paying.

• Both subjects walked toward the feeder, no vehicle was seen.

• The surveillance video was retrieved, and the employees can identify one of the suspects.

• Property Value: $617

• A male and female exited the store with numerous items without paying.

• Surveillance video captured the crime and the suspect’s vehicle with LP.

• A campaign worker reported that over a 2-night period, three of her campaign signs were stolen from the curb of Troyan Dr. at City Hall.

• The City’s surveillance cameras do not cover this area.

• Two males entered the store through the front door, picked up several items and then left through the back door.

10/26/241 W. Airport Blvd.

• Officer found a parked vehicle that was reported stolen via FLOCK, out of Stafford PD.

• Officers conducted surveillance and when a person got into the vehicle, they approached him.

• Investigation showed that the vehicle had been loaned to him, and the owner did not want to press charges.

• The person was issued citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.

• The vehicle was towed per the owner.

10/24/24 Brighton Ln. *Possession of Marijuana

• Officer was watching a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood and stopped it after viewing a registration violation.

• The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Sugar Land, and marijuana was found in the vehicle.

• The driver was arrested for marijuana and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

11/15/24 S. Kirkwood Rd. *Possession of Controlled Substance

• Officer stopped the vehicle for an LP violation and detected an odor of marijuana.

• During a PC search pills were found that field tested positive for MDMA/Ecstasy.

• The driver was also found to have warrants out of Harris Co. Pct. 4 and Rosenberg PD but were not confirmed.

• The driver was arrested for PCS and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

Notable Information:

10/24/24 Brighton Ln. *Possession of Marijuana

• This occurred due to preventative patrol from Crime Analysis of BMV’s.

• Officer was watching a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood and stopped it after viewing a registration violation.

• The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Sugar Land, and marijuana was found in the vehicle.

• The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

Assist Other Agency – Compliment 11/14/24 

• A Fort Bend Co. Detective radioed they needed assistance to stop a stolen piece of construction equipment.

• MPPD Officers quickly responded, stopped the equipment and detained 3 subjects.

• FBSO sent a thank you letter for a quick response (before any other agency arrived).

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle Suspect Identified: Kenzie Ct.

• A vehicle was stolen by an acquaintance (ID Unknown) from residence.

• CID located the vehicle in Houston.

• A toothbrush from the vehicle was sent in for DNA and just returned with a CODIS hit.

• The victim has now picked out the suspect from a line up.

Seizure of Funds Award: Walgreens

• Officer investigated a suspicious vehicle and found drugs, a pistol and $16,000 in cash.

• We recently were notified that the seizure of the cash was awarded.

• Paperwork is in process.

Robbery Plea: 05/22/22 

• A victim was robbed at gunpoint near The Hamptons where her car was stolen.

• Patrol found the vehicle with the gun inside soon afterwards in Houston.  A straw hat the suspect was wearing was also inside and was sent in for DNA testing.

• DNA came back with a CODIS hit which led to the suspect being identified.

• An MPPD Detective recently met with the defendant’s attorneys who viewed all the evidence.

• The next day after this meeting, the suspect pled out for 35 years in TCDJ!
