Assault (2) (Up 2 from previous month)

12/21/24 Dorrance Ln.

  • Two drivers in a minor accident got into a verbal altercation, which escalated to one slapping the other.

  • The offender was issued a citation for the assault, and both drivers exchanged information regarding the accident.

01/20/25 Montecito Ln. (Deadly Conduct)

  • Overnight, gunshots were heard in the area.

  • The area was checked, and nothing was found.

  • The next day, four (4) 9mm pistol casings were found in the street.

  • There was no witness, evidence or surveillance video found.

  • Investigation status: Open

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (3) (Up 1 from previous month) (1 commercial – 2 residential)

01/05/2025 Murphy Express

  • While a citizen was pumping gas, a vehicle pulled up next to her vehicle, a person got out and entered her vehicle, took her purse, and then left.

  • This was captured on surveillance video, which was not clear enough to be used for identification, and did not capture the LP.

  • Property value: $1,686

  • Investigation status: Suspended

01/08/24 Cedar Form Ln.

  • While checking the area due to recent BMV’s, a work van was found with a broken window.

  • Upon contact with the owner, it was found that this occurred sometime over the past five days. The only thing taken was cash.

  • Area surveillance showed no suspects.

  • Cash amount: $60

  • Investigation status: Suspended

01/08/24 Blair Meadow Dr.

  • While checking the area due to recent BMV’s, a work van was found with a broken window.

  • Upon contact with the owner, it was found that this occurred sometime over the past five days.

  • The owner stated some work equipment was taken. The owner had a serial number on one piece.

  • Surveillance video captured the crime but was not of quality to identify the 2 suspects or their vehicle.

  • Property value: $1,450

Burglary – Business/Commercial (4) (Up 4 from previous month)

12/21/24 Discount Tire

  • An off-duty officer coming to work saw a vehicle leaving the business at a fast rate.

  • On-duty units checked the areas but found no vehicle.

  • The business alarm was sounding, and the front glass door was shattered.

  • The only item taken was an empty safe.

  • It was found that another Discount Tire in SW Houston was burglarized with safe taken the same night.

  • Investigation status: Open

12/26/24 Kelley’s Country Cookin

  • Officers responded to an alarm, and upon arrival found that a window had been broken and entry was made.

  • Surveillance showed 4 individuals arriving in a car and going to the back of the building where they shut off the alarm, which stopped the video.

  • CID arrived and processed the scene.

  • Nothing was taken, but some electronic equipment was damaged.

  • Property/Damage estimate: $2,150

  • Investigation status: Open

12/26/24 Wok 1

  • Officers on a nearby call noticed a broken glass door on this business.

  • Upon checking the business, it was found that the electricity was shut off at the outside electrical panel.

  • Nothing was taken, but 2 registers were damaged.

  • CID arrived and processed the scene.

  • Property/Damage estimate: $3,500

  • Investigation status: Open

01/24/25 Murphy Express

  • 3 males in masks and wearing gloves parked their car at Sonic, walked to Murphy Express and forced entry through the cooler.

  • They then forced entry into the main store and placed numerous cartons of cigarettes into 3 garbage bags. They then ran back to their car and left.

  • A customer witnessed them running from the store toward Sonic.

  • CID made location and processed the scene but found no forensic evidence.

  • Surveillance video captured the crime, but did not show the vehicle’s LP or ability to identify suspects.

  • Property Damage: $1,500

  • The merchandise amount is unknown until the store completes an inventory.

  • Investigation status: Open

12/29/2024 Meadows Nails

  • A person was seen throwing rocks at an employee’s vehicle as it was parked in the back.

  • The vehicle owner found damage to a door and window.

  • The suspect is believed to be an ex-employee.

  • Damage estimate: $900

  • Investigation status: Open

12/31/24 Brighton Ln.

  • Overnight, unknown person(s) removed the paint off the trunk of a vehicle parked at a residence.

  • There was no witness, surveillance video or evidence.

  • Damage estimate: $400

  • Investigation status: Open

01/08/25 Blair Meadow Dr.

  • Overnight, unknown persons broke out a window and entered the resident’s work van.

  • Nothing was taken.

  • No witness, surveillance video or forensic evidence was found.

  • Property damage: $200

  • Investigation status: Suspended

01/08/25 Cedar Form Ln.

  • Overnight, persons unknown broke out a window of a work van parked in the driveway.

  • Surveillance video showed a male then entered the van, and cash was taken.

  • Currency / Property damage: $260

  • Investigation status: Open

01/11/24 Montecito Ln.

  • A resident threw a rock at a speeding vehicle, causing a dent and paint damage.

  • The resident agreed to pay for the repairs needed.

  • Damage estimate: $3,000

  • Investigation status: Closed-Exception

01/15/25 Northern Tool

  • Person(s) unknown cut a hole in the chain link fence at the back of the store.

  • There was no witness, evidence of surveillance video found.

  • Damage Estimate: $3,000

12/22/24 CVS

  • A male in a hoodie that covered his face asked an employee for change of a $100.

  • When the employee opened the cash drawer, the male produced and handgun and demanded all of the money from the register.

  • The employee complied, and the male then left the store.

  • CID responded to the scene.

  • Stolen cash amount: $215

  • Investigation status: Open

  • A male left the store with a bag full of Pokémon Cards

  • Store employees provided a photo of the suspect and his vehicle, which included the LP.

  • Property value: $104.93

01/03/25 Northern Tool *Tools

  • A male left the store with a set of wrenches without paying.

  • Surveillance video captured the crime, but did not catch any vehicle.

  • Property value: $209.97

01/11/25 Northern Tool *Yard Equipment

  • A male left the store with two pieces of equipment without paying.

  • Surveillance video captured the crime, but unusable for identification.

  • An employee walked out and retrieved their vehicle description and LP.

  • A male left the store with 2 pair of socks without paying.

  • Surveillance video captured the crime, but unusable for identification.

12/16/24 SW Freeway *Possession Marijuana/Unlawful Carry of a Weapon

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a red-light violation.

  • An odor of Marijuana was detected, and a PC search was conducted.

  • An illegal amount of Marijuana was found, along with a pistol.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

12/21/24 Dorrance Ln.*Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation.

  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant for Assault/Family Violence out of Harris Co.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

12/21/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Driving While Intoxicated 

  • Units responded to a vehicle blocking traffic. The vehicle was found driving away and pulled into a parking lot.

  • SPO interviewed the driver and found signs of intoxication.

  • Officer administered SFST’s and then detained the driver for DWI.

  • The driver consented to a blood draw, which would have been conducted anyway as it was “no refusal” weekend.

  • The subject was later booked into the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

12/26/24 Denny’s *Criminal Trespass

  • A female, possibly homeless, refused to leave the restaurant.

  • After several requests from officers to leave, and several warnings of arrest, the female still refused to leave.

  • The female was arrested and was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail

12/27/24 W. Airport Blvd. *Driving While Intoxicated 

  • Officer conducted a DWI investigation on a subject stopped by another Officer for a red-light violation.

  • After conducting SFST’s, the subject was detained and transported to SLPD for Intoxilyzer.

  • After results of 0.145 and 0.141, the subject was transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

01/04/24 Uhorse *Warrant Other Jurisdiction & Failure to ID – Fugitive & Unlawful Carry of a Weapon

  • Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle and persons.

  • The vehicle also met the description on a BOLO regarding a Criminal Mischief at Starbucks.

  • Investigation found the driver had a confirmed warrant for Dangerous Drugs – Parole Violation. This was after he gave a false ID and was finally identified by photo.

  • An inventory of the vehicle yielded a pistol.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

  • The other two subjects were released.

01/06/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Possession Controlled Substance

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation.

  • There was an odor of marijuana, so a PC search was conducted.

  • A glass pipe with cocaine residue was found.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.

  • *The driver is a person of interest in Criminal Mischiefs at Meadows Nails.

01/09/25 Dorrance Ln. *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way in a construction area.

  • The driver was found to have a confirmed warrant out of Harris Co. for Assault-FV.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

01/10/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Public Intoxication

  • Officer responded to a suspicious person in the parking lot.

  • A male was found who had been in an earlier disturbance at Pizza Hut.

  • The subject was found to show indications of intoxication.

  • A family member arrived to take him home, but he refused to get in their car.

  • The subject was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

01/13/25 Walgreens *Warrant Other Jurisdiction

  • Officer contacted a suspicious person, and through investigation found that he had a confirmed warrant out for Larceny out of Fort Bend Co.

  • The subject was detained and then turned over to a Fort Bend Co. Deputy at the scene.

01/15/25 W. Airport Blvd. *Driving While Intoxicated 

  • Officer  stopped a vehicle for speeding.

  • The driver showed signs of intoxication but refused SFST’s and Breath Sample.

  • The driver was arrested and transported to the Fort Bend Co. Jail.

Notable Information:

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

  • Suspect identified through DNA, then picked out of photo line-up.

  • Case submitted to the DA’s office.

Deadly Conduct

  • Moving disturbance in SL moved here where suspects shot at victim and hit 3 houses.

  • No injuries.

  • Cases (4) are Suspended.

  • Just received NIBIN hit on a shell casing. It was from a weapon used in a truck being shot up in East Houston.

Driver Arrested on Traffic Stop

  • “True Billed” by Grand Jury
