Parks Improvements

City of Meadows Place awarded grant for parks Improvements

The city of Meadows Place Parks and Recreation Department applied for and was awarded grant funds from the state again. Phase IV parks improvements will be achieved due to the matching funds of $75,000 from a grant program designed for small communities.

Notice

Important Notice

The City of Meadows Place has amended the tree ordinance with regards to height requirements.  The ordinance requires that tree limbs provide a sixteen (16) ft clearance over streets and a ten (10) ft clearance over sidewalks. (More Information)

Road Repairs and Roundabouts

The City received 33 proposals from engineering firms interested in the West Airport portion of our road repair and revitalization project. A short list is expected in early February and a recommendation to City Council at the February Council meeting.

Lost and Found Animals

If you have lost or found an animal, you can post the information on our Lost/Found Animals Board.

Meadows Home and Garden Club has been presenting scholarships for students of the City of Meadows Place for the past 17 years. The Home and Garden club will be providing a $ 1,000 scholarship to an eligible recipient planning to or attending a college or university for 2010. Deadline for entries is April 30th.

The Home and Garden club objectives are the continued beatification of our homes and community, conservation and ecology, civic development and horticulture and to educate. We continue to meet our education objectives year to year by the generous donations of time, talent and treasure from the citizens of Meadows Place and all that support our annual Craft Show.
