WIN AN AWARD FOR YOUR YARD! Get into the patriotic spirit and show your love of the country by decorating your yard in red, white, and blue. If you do not live along the parade route and want to be judged, you must enter your address at City Hall, e-mail it to monya@cityofmeadowsplace.org, or call the Parks Department at 281-983-2935. Judging will take place on July 3rd, and winners will be announced after the parade on July 4th! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will recieve a Home Depot gift card!
July 4th Parade
The City of Meadows Place annual 4th of July Parade will be on Monday, July 4th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Make your plans now to be a part of the best hometown parade around. The honorable Charles Jessup along with City Council Members and their families will be a special part of the annual parade.
The Parks and Recreation Department will be awarding first and second place trophies to the best youth (individual or group), and best commercial entries. Trophies will be presented at the conclusion of the parade at the field house on Brighton. Get your neighbors toegther and plan your entry. Size is not important, Simplicity, originality, creativity, and community spirit is what the judges are looking for.The judge's table will be set up at the Community Center to view all entries as they pass by. All entries will be catergorized and judged accordingly. Call the Parks and Recreation Department for an entry form, or download one from the City website: www.cityofmeadowsplace.org Please return your entry form as early as possible to help things run smoothly. The parade will assemble in the parking lot on Dorrance near Hwy 59. Judging of the non-motorized entries, accroding to age groups, will take place at 9:30 a.m. SHARP! Awards will be given to each category. Non-motorized entries do not need to fill out an entry form. All you need to do is show up for the judging!
The parade travels from the parking lot down Dorrance to Mulholland, left on Mulholland and left on Brighto to Mark McGrath Park where there will be an awesome military static display.

Attention Active Military Citizens!
The City of Meadows Place would like to honor its active military citizens. If you or an active family member will be in town during the 4th of July, we would like for you to participate in our 4th of July Parade. Please contact the Parks Department by FRIDAY, JUNE 24TH so arrangements can be made.
