Administrative Staff
The City Secretary, Elaine Herff, works closely with the Mayor and Council and is responsible for establishing and developing policies and procedures for records management, keeping all of the official records, posting notices of meetings, maintaining agendas and minutes, assisting the public, administering the elections, as well as many other duties.
Laura Shirley, works with city vendors making payments and renders a full statement of the receipts and payments to City Council. She also performs other acts and duties as the governing body requires.
Mimi Boos, performs the function of issuing permits for residential and commercial improvements and assists the public, as well as many other duties.
Utility Customer Services
This department (Patty Spade), is responsible for the water meter readings, utility billings to customers and the collection for utility services. Along with this assignment goes many other associated areas such as deposits of monies received, records management, resolving customer complaints, meter change outs, new connections for water, sewer and solid waste, customer disconnects and the turn on of utilities.
The main function of our Municipal Court is to see that all of the people that have business with the City of Meadows Place Municipal Court are treated with courtesy, respect and justice.
We provide instruction on how to take a Defensive Driving Course and Deferred Disposition. We offer the option of having trials by Judge or by Jury.
All of our jurors are taken from our own community. Our City Prosecutor and Presiding Judge are available for arraignment and trials.
The Meadows Place Municipal Court and Meadows Place Police Department work together in providing a safe and secure area for residents as well as local businesses.
