After much anticipation, it is now time to start fishing at the lake! Catch and release fishing will now be permitted. The lake has been stocked with a variety of fish, including bass, fathead minnows, copper nose bluegill, hybrid bluegill, and red ear bream! Ages 17 and up must have a current fishing license, and discounts are offered to those ages 65+. Grab your fishing pole and bait and head out to the lake and enjoy a nice day of fishing!
Please do not release any outside fish into the lake.

Meadows Place inks agreement with The Retail Coach
To expand its proactive approach to economic growth, The City of Meadows Place has partnered with The Retail Coach, a national retail recruitment and development consulting firm contracted to help attract new retail development.
The Retail Coach has had outstanding successes assisting more than 150 cities in Texas and the U.S.. This project will run through 2012 and is being funded through the Meadows Place Economic Development Corporation.

TDA is Underway !
Texas Direct Auto – TDA -- has expanded into Meadows Place and has begun to improve the property. As part of this exciting new revitalization project, TDA plans to give the area a new brand look that comes complete with monument signs, a “college feel” entrance, wrought iron fencing, landscaping and even a dog park! Phase I is the lighting and fencing, which are now underway (Sept. 2011). To get an idea of what all this will look like, click here.

New Tactical Training Center
The City of Meadows Place is in the process of converting the Kirkwood Annex building to make it the permanent home of a new police Tactical Training Center. This is to take advantage of the recent new, high-tech firearms training system by Lasershot. This new system is designed to help our officers develop tactical decision and judgmental skills, improve target acquisition and engagement and sharpen basic shooting skills. The new training center should be completed by late March, 2012.

Kelleys, The Best in Country Cookin and Tradicao, a very upscale Brazilian Steakhouse - are both now open. Mmmmm - More great food in Meadows Place! Try them soon.
